In-Home Care
Nine out of ten Americans would prefer to spend their final days of life at home, among family and friends, while still under professional medical care and supervision. Hospice of Huntington makes this possible.
For twenty-five years, we have provided quality comfort care for patients. We are experts in end-of-life care. Each day our team of professionals visits nearly 200 patients enrolled in our home-care program, providing care and support to the patients living in Cabell, Wayne, Lincoln and Mason Counties in West Virginia and Lawrence County and surrounding areas in Ohio.
The Home Care Team includes doctors, nurses, certified nursing assistants, social workers, dieticians, bereavement counselors, volunteers and pastoral counselors. This professional team works with the patient and family to develop an individual plan of care.
The focus of Hospice is to manage the patient's physical symptoms to keep him or her comfortable, as well as to support the role of the primary caregiver and family within the home.
