On behalf of Hospice of Huntington staff and volunteers, we thank you for the privilege of coming into your life during such a difficult time. We value the trust you have placed in us and are committed to providing you with the highest quality of care and support. Whether care is being provided in the comfort of your home, assisted living residence, nursing home or at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, please know we are here to lend support with an experienced team of dedicated, caring professionals guided by our very own hospice physician.
You and your family or caregivers are regarded as a single unit of care, and your needs and wishes are our primary concern. We encourage you to communicate openly with members of your family and with your Hospice of Huntington care team so that we can work together to meet your needs. We recognize that the days ahead may be difficult for you. You are not alone in this journey. We are here for you and your family.

You should have received a copy of Hospice of Huntington's Patient Service Guide, which contains valuable information about our programs and services. This book was carefully developed by our staff, based upon nearly 27 years of hospice experience. This guide should serve as a handbook for you, your family and/or caregivers. In addition to providing information about insurance and payment for services, this useful guide also includes our mission and philosophy of care and clearly outlines your patient's rights and responsibilities, as well as our patient privacy policy. Your Patient Service Guide explains the role of the hospice care team, provides helpful information for how to manage common symptoms of advanced illness and when to call our nurse during business hours, after-hours and weekends. Please take advantage of the important information this resource provides and ask your Hospice of Huntington care team members to answer any questions you may have.
